LUSHINGTON. (Captain, 1829.)
Stephen Lushington fought in the Cambrian at the battle of Navarin, 20 Oct. 1827. On the death of Sir Robt. Oliver, in 1848, he was appointed to succeed that officer in the Superintendentship of the Indian Navy; and he was in consequence superseded in the command of the Vengeance.
