Bunsen, Christian Charles Josias (privy councillor, and late envoy extraordinary and minister plenipotentiary of the King of Prussia at the Court of Rome), created D.C.L. 12 June, 1839, theological and historical writer, born at Korbach, in Waldeck, 25 Aug., 1791, married 1 July, 1817, Francis, daughter of Benjamin Waddington, of Lanover, co. Monmouth, and died at Bonn 28 Nov., 1860.
