Denison, Edmund Beckett, of Trinity Coll., Cambridge (B.A. 1838, M.A. 1841, LL.D. 1863), adm. 'ad eundem' 26 May, 1847, Lord Grimthorpe, so created 17 Feb., 1886, he and his father abandoned the name of Denison by royal licence 9 Dec., 1872, chancellor of the Consistory Court of York 1877, a life governor King's College, London, a bencher of Lincoln's Inn 1854, treasurer 1876, barrister 1841, Q.C. 1854 (eldest son of Sir Edmund Beckett, Bart.).
