(fl. 1616)

The earliest English manuscript of "O Mother Dear, Jerusalem", dating from the 16th century, is titled "A Song made by F. B. P.". Some scholars believe this to stand for "Francis Baker, Priest". The hymn itself is a translation of the anonymous Latin hymn "Mater Hierusalem, civitas sancta Dei".
