This is a maintenance category, added by a template to group pages for maintenance (non-navigation) purposes. It is automatically hidden on categorized pages.

Purpose[edit]

The purpose of this category is to track pages that utilise <ref>references</ref> though have not correctly captured the with a <references /> tag (or equivalent). The Mediawiki files that are tracked to enable this to happen are:

• MediaWiki:Cite error references missing group
• MediaWiki:Cite error refs without references
• MediaWiki:Cite error empty references define (included here, though this is not completely accurate as a statement)

Maintenance task[edit]

• To the page, add either <references /> or {{smallrefs}} to the base of the page.
  Note: that if the page is in the Page: namespace, this would be added in the 'Footer:'.
• Please ignore the Mediawiki: namespace pages.
