Executive Order 1139

The Executive Order of September 1, 1903 (G. O. 34, W. D., October 13, 1903), reserving, inter alia, certain tracts of land for the military post of Camp Jossman, near the town of Buena Vista, Island of Guimaras, Philippine Islands, is hereby modified, so far as the same relates to said tracts, to correct errors of description therein and to include additional lands, so as to reserve for the military post of Camp Jossman, pursuant to section 12 of the Act of Congress, approved July 1, 1902 (32 Stat. L., 691), subject to private rights, all lands, and those only, within metes and bounds described as follows:


Parcel A. Beginning at a flat-topped unmarked monument (concrete), about N 70° E, 37 meters, from the crossing of the two principal streets of the barrio of Santo Rosario, Island of Guimaras, P. I.; thence N 24° 4′ 30″ E, 76.96 meters, to a monument marked “U. S.”; thence N 17° 20′ 40″ W, 76.97 meters, to a monument marked “U. S.”; thence N 10° 1′ 00″ W, 19.15 meters, to a monument marked “U. S.”; thence N 86° 19′ 40″ W, 88.05 meters, to a monument marked “U. S.”; thence S. 76° 24′ 00″ W, 117.91 meters, to a monument marked “U. S.”; thence S 72° 10′ 00″ W, 99.64 meters to a monument marked “U. S.”; thence S 50° 14′ 40″ W, 28.50 meters, to a monument marked “U. S.”; thence S 50° 12′ 40″ W, 92.41 meters, to a monument; thence S 79° 9′ 30″ E, 326.83 meters, to a monument; thence N 60° 47′ 40″ E, 33.46 meters, to a monument marked “U. S.” top flush with surface of road middle of main street barrio of Santo Rosario; thence N 70° 14′ 30″ E, 37.10 meters, to the point of beginning. Area: 5.1814 hectares.


Parcel B. Beginning at a concrete monument marked "U. S." situated on the summit of a small hill about 160 meters northwest of the distilling and ice plant at Camp Jossman, Guimaras, P. I.; thence S 11° 22′ 20″ E, 587.23 meters, to a monument marked “U. S.”; thence S 81° 29′ 25″ E, 630.32 meters, to a monument marked “U. S.”; thence S 55° 57′ 25″ E, 3529.01 meters, to a monument marked “U. S.” ; thence N 59° 07′ 10″ E, 829.29 meters, to a monument marked “U. S.”; thence N 31° 33′ 05″ E, 4279.76 meters, to a monument marked “U. S.”; thence N 73° 32′ 30″ W, 3122.66 meters, to a monument marked “U. S.”; thence N 83° 23′ 40″ W, 521.65 meters, to a monument; thence S. 52° 00′ 20″ W, 3499.01 meters, to a monument marked “U. S.”; thence S 57° 31′ 25″ W, 407.59 meters, to the initial point. Area: 1830.8819 hectares.


Parcel C. (Road Reservation) Beginning at a point S 11° 22′ 20″ E, 16.85 meters, from the initial point of Parcel B, Camp Jossman Military Reservation, Guimaras, P. I.; thence S 11° 22′ 20″ E, 72.15 meters, to a monument marked “U. S.”; thence S 74° 56′ 30″ W, 353.43 meters, to a monument marked “U. S.”; thence S 72° 03′ 00″ W, 127.20 meters, to a monument marked “U. S.”; thence S 41° 25′ 30″ W, 177.03 meters, to a monument marked “U. S.”; thence S 60° 33′ 30″ W, 41.36 meters, to a monument marked “U. S.”; thence S 87° 31′ 45″ W, 250.08 meters, to a monument marked “U. S.”; thence S 67° 32′ 00″ W, 206.82 meters, to a monument marked “U. S.”; thence N 88° 00′ 45″ W, 86.55 meters, to a monument; thence S 60° 04′ 30″ W, 100.01 meters, to a monument; thence S 87° 29′ 55″ W, 176.88 meters, to the initial monument of Parcel A; thence N 24° 04′ 30″ E, 76.96 meters, to a monument marked “U. S.”; thence N 17° 20′ 40″ W, 8.28 meters; thence, by a series of courses parallel to and 72 meters from courses 10 to 2 above, to the initial point. Area: 10.8580 hectares.

Total area of reservation: 1846.9213 hectares.
