The following-named employees of the Smithsonian Institution, engaged upon the work of preparing a classified index catalogue for incorporation in the International Catalogue of Scientific Literature, are hereby included in the classified service, and persons to be paid from appropriations for this work shall hereafter be appointed in accordance with the provisions of the civil-service rules: Leonard C. Gunnell, chief assistant; Rose A. Palmer, classifier; Alice K. Coyle, cataloguer; Josephine A. McDevitt, clerk.
