Birley, Francis Hornby, B.A. Univ. Coll., Oxon, went the Northern circuit, a student of the Inner Temple 27 Jan., 1873 (then aged 22), called to the bar 26 Jan., 1876 (only surviving son of Thomas Hornby Birley, late of Pendleton, Lancashire, dec.); born 14 March, 1850; married 1 Aug., 1876, Margaret, youngest dau. of Rev. Jarvis Kenrick, of Reigate, Surrey, and has issue.
