Melvill, William Henry, M.A., Trin. Coll., Camb., 1853, solicitor to Board of Inland Revenue Somerset House since Jan., 1865, a student of Lincoln's Inn 17 April, 1850 (then aged 22), called to the bar 30 April, 1853 (3rd son of James Cosmo Melvill, of East India House); born 26 Sept., 1827; married 12 Nov., 1862, Hon. Elizabeth Theresa Lister, youngest dau. of Thomas, 2nd Lord Ribblesdale (see Foster's Peerage).
