Richardson-Gardner, Robert, F.S.A., M.P. Windsor since 1874, capt.-commandant Hants rifle volunteers 1859–69 and hon. col. North-east London rifles 1869–72, D.L. Tower Hamlets, assumed the additional surname of Gardner by royal licence 1864, commander of the royal order of the Crown of Italy and an officer of the royal order of Leopold of Belgium, a student of the Middle Temple 29 Oct., 1850, called to the bar 6 June, 1853 (5th son of John Richardson, of Swansea, co. Glamorgan, merchant); born , 1827; married , 1854, Maria Louisa, only child and heir of late Henry Gardner, Esq.
