Walter, John, F.S.S., M.P. Nottingham 1847–59, Berks 1859–65, and since 1868, M.A., Exeter Coll., Oxon, 1843, from Eton, a commissioner of lieutenancy for the city of London, J.P., D.L. Berks and Middlesex, a student of Lincoln's Inn 25 Jan., 1841 (then aged 22), called to the bar 19 Nov., 1846 (eldest son of John Walter, Esq., of Bearwood, Berks); born 8 Oct., 1818; married 1st, 27 Sept., 1842, Emily Frances, dau. of Major Court, of Castlemans, Berks; she died 28 April, 1858; he married 2ndly, 1 Jan., 1861, Flora, 3rd dau. of late James Monro Macnabb, Esq., of Highfield Park, Hants, and has issue.
