And God’s Limbs Are With Me

¹ [My limbs with light]

I am covering.

² And his limbs are with <me>,

and to them I cling,

and he loves me.

³ For I could not have known how to love the Lord,

if he had not loved me.

⁴ Who is able to understand love

except one who is loved?

⁵ I love the beloved

and my soul loves him.

And where his rest is,

there, too, am I.

⁶ Nor will I be a stranger,

because with the Lord Most High, the Merciful, there is no envy.

⁷ I have been united (with the Most High)

because the lover has found the beloved,

because I love him who is a son

so that I, too, will become a son.

⁸ For he who cleaves to him who is immortal

will become immortal as well;

⁹ and one who delights in life

will become living.

¹⁰ This is the spirit of the Lord, who is not false,

who teaches humans to know his ways.

¹¹ Be wise and knowing, and be watchful.
