quarters of the Department of Agriculture, as specified in Annex 1 to this Regulation.

Article3.A veterinary officer has the following duties:

(1)to consider all applications for permission, to inspect animals, to conduct inquiries as to those applications for permission, to issue permits or deny permission, as well as to follow the provisions of this Regulation;

(2)to immediately follow the order of the Commissioner of the Province directing him to go to and inspect a locality, and to with dispatch report the Commissioner of the Province to which he belongs and notify the Commissioners or veterinary officers of the nearby Provinces if an epidemic occurs, with a requirement that the letter of notification shall indicate the boundaries of the region where the epidemic occurs and the place where the epidemic is suspected to occur;

(3)to give advice to competent authorities in the administrative sector, to give any orders to animal owners, to arrange for protection and treatment of animals, to arrange for buying and destroying of animals, and to perform all general actions designated for the prevention of the spread of a disease or for the suppression of such disease;
