Announcement of the Revolutionary Party
No. 28

Pleasant relations between Thailand and Cambodia, the countries which have been neighbours and close acquaintances of each other as if being brothers and sisters since former times, have declined of late. Following the unsuccessful demand for the Phra Wihan Mount, part of the Thai territory, to be relinquished to Cambodia, Thailand has become the target of continuous attacks by broadcasting radio and newspapers in Phnom Penh, despite His Majesty's Government having done nothing to the detriment of Cambodia at all. Even after the Revolutionary Party has taken control over the national administration, it is still believed that there is a way to negotiate so as to find an opportunity to understand each other and situations would improve favourably in the near future. However, the Cambodian government eventually became the first to sever diplomatic relations with Thailand for a simple reason which was quite a surprise to the political circle universally and it is not certain whether there is any evil scheme hidden.
