Arkansas Post, Ark., Battle of.
- Arkansas Post was a village on the Arkansas River, about 70 miles southeast of Little Rock. On Jan. 11, 1863, this place was attacked by the Federals, under Gen. McClernard, and the Confederate forces there were captured. The Federal loss in killed and wounded was about 1,000.
