בלבל, בילבל (rlp. of בלל or בול; cmp. בהל) to
mix up; to disarrange, upset, disturb. Bekh. 38b (expl.
תבלל, Lev. XXI, 20) וכ׳ המבלבל דבר something which
disturbs the arrangement (of the white and the black)
of the eye. Snh. 108a וכ׳ את ובלבל עמד (Var. ופזר) he
upset the bridal canopy. Sot. 46b בילבלה לא did not
disturb the town (by pillaging, removing the inhabit-
ants &c.). Y. B. Kam. IV, end, 4 one struck him fatally
ובילבלו השני ובא and the other came and made him
