דלסתי, v. דלתא.
דלעת f. (דלע, cmp. דלי a. זלוע)[bottle-shaped,] gourd, a general name for cucumbers, pumpkins &c. (v. Sm. Ant. s. vv. Colocynthe a. Colocynthis). Kil. I, 2 וכ׳ מצרית ד׳ Ms. M. (ed. המצרי, corr. acc.) Egyptian gourd and the Bitter-gourd may be planted together (v. כלאים. Ned. VI, 1 הרמוצה דלעת, variously explained ib. 51a; Y. Kil. I, 27a top; a. fr. -- Sot. 16a כד׳ מגלחו he shaves his body as smooth as a gourd; Y. Kidd. I, 59d toop כדלת (corr. acc.). Pl. דלועים, דלועין, דיל׳. Sabb. XXIV, 4. Ned. VII, 1;a. fr. -- Tosef. Maasr. דלפקי, דלופקי f. (~~~~~~=~~~~~, delphica, sub. mensa) delphica, a three-legged table used as a toilet table or a waiter, contrad. fr. שלחן eating table (v. Becker Gallus, ed. Gcll II, p. 354). Kel. דלק, דליק (b. h.) 1) to burn; to be illumined. Gen. R. s. 39 saw a castle דולקת ighted. B. Kam. VI, 5 ודלקו and they caught fire. Y. Sabb. II, beg. 4c דליקה והיא והולכת that it may continue to burn. Ib.d דליקין are burning. -- Part. pass. דלוק entkindled, burning. Gen. R. s. 11 ד׳ אותו מצאתי (Yalk. ib. 16 דולק) I found it still burning. Midr. Till. to Ps. VII, 14 (ref. to לדלקים ib.) עליהם ד׳ שלבם (Yalk. a. l. דולק) whose hearts within them are burning (with lust). - Loam. R. to IV, 19 [read ] שהיו מעביות אחריהם דולקין (Koh.
