אטליז, איטליז, אטלס, איטליס m. (טלל, with format. or ס; cmp. אושפיז; v. טלל II, טלל I, II) a number of booths put up for a mercantile fair, or for popular entertainments; whence (cmp. חנות) shops, bazaar (v. esp. Gen. *אטקטיא, prob. אטקטין or אטקטי m. pl. (~~~~~~) undisciplined, irregular troops. Pesik. Ekhah p. 122b eexplaining 'thy princes are rebels Is. I, 23) אדוניך א׳ מזיינין דהוו מדיונים thy lords are rebels'-- for they equipped irregulars. [This seems to be the proper ver- sion restored f om Ar. a. Var.; v. Pesik. l. c. note 75.]
אטר, איטר m. (b. h. אטר, v. Hebr. Dict.), sub. ימינו יד one whose right hand is tied up or unfit for labor; left-handed. Sabb. 103a יד אי׳. Men. 37a only א׳. Tosef. Bekh. V, 8 וכ׳ בידיו בין א׳; Bekh. 45b וכ׳ ביד בין א׳ one either left-handed or left-legged (v. Rashi a. l.).
