מר III (or מר) m. (מור) exchange; דר במר instead of; as. Hull. 94a דשחוטה במר ניהליה ויהבה and he gave her (the ritually forbidden hen) to him (the gentile) pretend- ing that it was ritually cut. B. Kam. 113b, v. פליזא. Bekh. 30aa דכנתא במר ליה מזבין sold it for fat of the ileum (which is permitted; Ar. סרכנתא, suggesting דפפנא, q. V.).

מר, מרא II f. 1) (=מארא, v. ארה) hoe, rake. Erub. 77b וחצינא מ׳ דבעי it requires hoe or pick-axe (to get it. out). Meg. 28a, v. דרי II.
