נוול, נול II (denom. of next w.) to weave. Snh. 95a נוולא דהות (Ms. M. טויא קא; early ed. נוזלא קא; Ms. P. עזלא קא, v. Rabb. D. S. a. l. note) was weaving. Gitt. 34a ונוולה יתבא she was sitting and weaving.
נוול, נול III, נוולא Im. (v. בל ch. 2)loom,also the web on the loom. Targ. Is. XXXVIII, 12 גרדאין מנוול Var. ed. Lag. (read; כמוול; ed. נחל, corr. acc.; oth. ed. כנול) as from the loom (as the web) of the weavers. --- Y. B. Bath. II, 13b bot. וכ׳ נוול חד מיתן to place one loom in the space between two neighboring walls. Bab. ib. 13b פילכא ידעא ו׳ (v. Rabb. D. נווולא II pr. n. f. Narla. B. Mets. 67a אחי ונ׳ את (Rashi ונוולה) thou and N. are relatives (and she will surely restore the field to thee whenever thou art able to redeem it). Ib. וכ׳ דעתיה סמכא אחי ונ׳ את כל Ms. M. (v. Rabb. D. S. a. l. note 80) in every case when such an expression as thou and N. are relatives' is used, the seller relies on it &c. [Oth. opin. נ׳, a colloquial expression for 'a certain person, as our א. N.', both male and female; v. Koh. Ar. Compl. l, p. XX].
נוולה f. h. (a Chaldaism) =נוולא I. Med. 18a עומד שכן לנ׳ for it (a small piece of cloth) may be used to tie around the weaver's frame (Rashi; to tie around the weaver's finger when he puts up the frame; Var. לטולא, v. טולא).

S. woven); Sifre Deut. 232; Yeb. 5b; a. e. - Nidd. 61b ונ׳ טווי שוע שיהא עד until it is fulled and spun and ttwisted (or woven). -- Y. Kil. IX, end, 32d אמריכן הוון מותר לנוז הא we might have thought, but to twist (wool and linen) is permitted.
