Doüairiére: f. A dowager; a widow endowed, or that hath a ioyntrue.
Doüane. The name of the Customehouse at Lyons; hence also, any custome, or impost; and particularly, two French Crownes taken by th' Officers of that house, for euerie peece of gold, or siluer (and ratably for all other kinds of stuffe, and marchandise) imported.

Doubleau. Somewhat double, almost two-fold. Arcs doubleaux. as Branches d'Augiues. Double-marcheur: m. The little, spotted, and worm-*like Serpent Amphisbæna; which hauing a head at both ends (en errour in auntient authors, in the opinion of Mathiolus, and Grevinus) can goe both wayes.
Doublemént: m. A doubling; a making two-fold, or twice as much; a rising vnto as much more; also, the copying out of a writing; In a Portsale, a double out-*bidding, or double the price of the most that was at first bidden (which he that arises vnto, most commonly carries the thing.)
Doublément. Doubly, two wayes, in two sorts, for two causes.
Doubler. To double; to make two-fold, or twice as much; to increase very much, or vnto as much more; also, to bow much, or make both ends meet; also, to copie out a writing; also, to line a garment; also, to reiterate.

Doubtant. Doubting; suspecting; vncertainly thinking of; (and sometimes) also, as much as hoping.
Doubte: f. A doubt; suspect; feare, scruple; mistrust; suspence; vncertaintie of, or staggering in, opinion; also, a reuerant awe, or dread of. Sans doubte. Questionlesse, vndoubtedly, certainely, without faile, as sure as can be. Amener, ou mettre, en doubte. To call in question, bring in controuersie, make men doubtfull of. Tenir en doubte. To delay, deferre, hold in suspence.

To doubt, suspect, mistrust; bee vncertaine, make a question, or scruple of; to stagger, stammer, wauer betweene hope and feare; to be in suspence; also, to feare, awe, dread, redoubt; (sometimes) also (as much as) to hope. Qui ne scait rien de rien ne doubte: Pro. He that knowes nothing liues in feare of nothing.
