Anille. The mill-rind of a mill-stone; in Blazon; an ink-*molyne.

Anilles: m. Crutches for impotent persons.

Animadversion: f. An animaduersion; a marking, or heeding; a consideration; a iudgement; also, a warning, censure, chiding, reprehension.

Animal: m. An animall; a creature that hath life, spirit, and sence; (more particularly) a beast; (wee sometimes call a blockhead, or gull, an Animall.)

Anime: f. A fashion of easie (because large-plated, and large-iointed) armour; also, the name of an aromaticall East-Indian gumme.

Animé: m. ée: f. Animated; quickened, inspired with life, or breath; also, heartened, incouraged; incited, incensed.

Animelles: f. The stones, cods, or cullions of Lambes, &c.

Animer. To quicken, giue life vnto; inspire breath, infuse a spirit into; also, to animate, incourage, hearten, imboulden; incite, incense.

Animeusement. Couragiously, stoutly, resolutely, with a great stomacke.

Animeux: m. euse: f. Stout, hardie, resolute, couragious, full of heart, mettall, spirit; of a bold, and great stomacke; that will take no wrong, that will carrie no coales.

Animosité: f. Animositie, stoutnesse, courage, mettall, boldnesse, resolution, hardinesse.

Anir. The name of an Indian hearbe, vsed much by Dyers.

Anis: m. The hearbe Anise; also, the seed thereof, Aniseed; also, as Engeance; and hence; Petis anis. A troupe of little children.

Anis: f. Annis, or Nanne (a proper name for a woman.) Anisé: m. ée: f. Seasoned, or sweetned with Ani-seed; also, multiplied, in brood.

Aniser. To season, or sweeten with Aniseed; also, to increase, or multiplie.

Aniveller. To measure, leuell, or square by plumbe-line, or plumbe-rule.

Anizé. as, Anisé. Annales: f. Annales; annuall Chronicles; yearely relations.

Annaliste: com. An Annalist; a writer of yearely Chronicles, a relator of annuall occurrences.

Annate. The first fruits of a Benefice; the profit of a whole yeare after the remooue, or death, of th'Incumbent.

Anneantir. Seeke, Aneantir. Anneau: m. A ring, or signet for a finger; or (more generally) any ring; also, the ligament that incircles the wrist, in forme of a hoope-ring. L'Anneau d'une clef. The bow (or vpmost part) of a key. à l'anneau. Vpon the marriage. Il a mis en son doigt anneau trop estroict; He hath vndertaken a matter, which is most vnworthie of him; or which will turne much to his preiudice.

Année: f. A yeare; a yeares time; the season within a yeare; also, a yeares crop, or increase; whence; La bonne année en peu de temps s'en va, la petite se garde: Prov. Good haruests makes men prodigall, bad prouident.

Annelé: m. ée: f. Ringed, full of rings, made like a ring, set, or decked with rings; marked with round, or with ring-like, spots.
  Cheueux annelez. Haire frizeled, curled, or twirled

round, or into round knots.

Anneler. To ring; to curle, or twirle round like a ring; to hooke, hang, claspe, close, decke, or furnish, with rings.

Annelet: m. A gimmew, or little ring for the finger; also, a hawther; also, a mayle, or a ring of mayle; any annelet, or small ring, vsed about apparell, or armour.

Annellé. as, Annelé. Annexe: f. An annexation, or thing annexed.

Annexé: m. ée: f. Knit, annexed, linked, ioyned, coupled, added, vnto.

Annexer. To annex, knit, linke, ioyne, couple, adde, vnto.

Annicher. To nestle, or put into a nest.

Annicheur: m. A nestler; a nest-maker; a putter of things into nests; a setter of birds on nests; and hence; Docte annicheur de poules. An excellent, or learned, cotqueane.

Annichilé: m. ée: f. Annichilated, annulled, brought vnto nothing.

Annichiler. To annull, annichilate, bring vnto nothing.

Annion. Priviledge d'annion. An yeares protection graunted by the Prince, or Magistrate, vnto a debtor.

Anniversaire: m. An yearely Obit, Trentall, or seruice said, at a time certaine, for the dead.

Anniversaires: m. The winds which ordinarily blow about the dog-dayes.

Annombré: m. ée: f. Counted, reckoned, numbred, told out, or ouer.

Annombrer. To reckon, number, count, tell out, or ouer.

Annoncé: m. ée: f. Declared, shewed, aduertised, informed, signified vnto.

Annonce-iour. Day-denouncing, light-proclaiming.

Annoncement: m. A shewing, declaring, signifying, aduertising.

Annoncer. To announce, or denounce; to proclaime; declare, shew, signifie, bring newes, aduertise, carrie tidings vnto.

Annonce-salut. Health-declaring.

Annonceur: m. An announcer, declarer, proclaimer, signifier, aduertiser; a bringer of newes, a carrier of tidings, vnto.

Annonchali: m. ie: f. Disesteemed, neglected, carelesly handled, ill looked vnto; also, pined, wasted, worne away, growne carelesse of himselfe, not worth the ground he goes on, by his owne carelesnesse.

s'Annonchalir. To grow carelesse of himselfe, or of his own health; (and thereby) to wast, pine, languish, weare away.

Annonciation: f. An annunciation, a denouncement.

Annone. A kind of white, soft, sweet, sauourie, and kernellie Indian fruit; also, meslin, or grudgins; the corne whereof browne bread is made for the meynie.

Annotation: f. An annotation; a marke, note, obseruation; title, register; or, a marking, noting; intitling. Annotation de biens. A seisure of the goods of offendors that appeare not in person, or by Atturny, within a yeare after they haue beene summoned.

Annoté. Marked, noted, obserued; intitled; registred; also, whose goods are seised; as in Annotation. Annoter. To marke, note, obserue; intitle; register.

Annuel: m. elle: f. Annuall, yearely, done euerie yeare.

Annuellement. Annually, yearely, euerie yeare, from yeare to yeare.

Annulaire: m. The Chauncellor of Fraunce; tearmed so in old time, when the Kings signet was his great Seale.
