Annulaire: com. Annular; of a ring; like a ring; round. Doigt annulaire. The ring finger, or wedding-ring finger; the third finger, or, that which is next vnto the little one. Ligament annulaire. A certaine muskle, or fleshie band, which compasses th' vpper part of th' instup, and receiues, vnder it, the tennons of the muskles belonging to the fore-part of the leg.

Annullé: m. ée: f. Disannulled, annulled, annihilated.

Annuller. To annull, disannull, annihilate; abrogate, cancell, make void, or of no effect.

Anobli: m. ie: f. Ennobled, made noble, ingentilized, made a gentleman.

Anoblir. To ennoble, make noble, ingentilize, make a gentleman. La verge anoblist, & le ventre affranchist; Looke Verge. Anoblissement: m. An ennobling, or ingentilizing.

Anodin. Remedes anodins. Medicines which (by procuring sleepe) take from a Patient all sence of paine.

Anoirci: m. ie: f. Blackned; made, or become, blacke.

Anoircir. To blacken; to make, or grow, blacke.

Anomal: m. ale: f. Inequall, rough, or not euen; also, irregular.

Anombrer. as Annombrer. To number, count, reckon, tell out, or ouer.

Anonchallanti: m. ie: f. Neglected, carelesly handled; also, languishing; also, out of sale, out of request, out of custome, or, which no customers will deale for.

Anonchaly. Neglected; or, as Annonchali. Anonciade. as Annonciation; whence, Ordre de l'a: An Order of knighthood, instituted in the yeare 1350, by a duke of Sauoy.

Anonexie: f. Looke Anorexie. Anorexie: f. Inapetencie; the want, or weakenesse of appetite; the loathing of all meat; queasinesse of stomacke.

Anoüé: m. ée: f. Almost choaked, or stifled, by letting downe too great a morsell.

Anoüer. (Almost) to choake, stifle, strangle with greedie eating, or by deuouring too great a morsell.

Ansarot: m. A certaine bitter Gumme; Looke Sarcocolle. Anse: f. The handle, or eare of a pot, cup, &c. whereby we take hold thereof; (hence) also, an opportunitie, or occasion; also, a creeke, nooke, bay, gulfe, or arme of the sea; Looke, Anses. Les bras courbez en anse. With armes a-kemboll. Vn pot à deux anses: Pro. An equiuocation; a word, &c, of double meaning, or whereof a double construction may be made.

Ansé: m. ée: f. Eared; or that hath an eare, or handle.

Ansée: f. A kind of basket hauing two handles, or eares, to be carried betweene two.

Anses: f. Handles, &c, as in Anse (whereof this is the plurall) also, th' ends of ropes tyed snare-wise, or made into nooses.

Anseté. as Ansé. Ansette. A little handle, or eare of a pot, &c.

Ansouple: m. Looke, Ensouple.

Ansule: f. A little handle.

Antartique. The circle in the Sphere called the South, or Antarticke, Pole; which, by reason of th' earths opposition, we cannot, in these parts of the world, discerne.

Ante: f. as Tante; an aunt; also, the cheeke, or iaumbe of a doore; also, as Ente. Antecesseurs: m. Predecessors, auncestors.

Anteines: f. The sayle-yard; the crosse peece whereto the sayle is fastened.

Anten. The last yeare. Des anten. A twelue-month agoe. Ie te crains aussi peu que les neiges d'anten. I feare thee as much as nothing; I dread thee not at all.

Antenais: m. Shoots, or sprigs of a yeares growth.

Antenne: f. A Sayle-yard.

Antenois: m. A hog, an yearling, or yeare-old sheepe; a lambe of the last yeare.

Anterieur: m. eure: f. Anterior, fore, former, or that is before the former; that goeth, or is set, before.

Anterieurement. Before, formerly, in the fore-part, or former place.

Anthere. The yellow tuft in the middle of a Rose.

Anthoine. Anthonie; a proper name. Feu S. Anthoine: A swelling full of heat, paine, and rednesse; we call it also, S. Anthonies fire. Porcelet de S. Anthoine. The vermine called, a Ches-lop, or Wood-louse.

Anthosat. Made of Rosemarie.

Anthracite. A precious stone, wherein there seeme to be flames, or sparkes of fire.

Anthromantie. Diuination by the raysing of dead men.

Anthropopathie: f. Humane, or mans, passion.

Antiborée: f. That kind of dyall, which (contrarie to all others) is to be turned towards the North; a North dyall.

Antibust. Ceinct à l'antibust. Girt loosely, carelessely, or after the great-belly fashion, the girdle riding ouer the middle of the bosome; also, girt back-wards.

Antichambre: f. The chamber of Presence in a Princes Court; the great Chamber in a great mans house; any outward chamber which is next, or neere vnto, the bed-chamber.

Anticipant: m. A preuenter, forestaller, anticipator.

Anticipant: m. ante: f. Anticipating, preuenting, forestalling.

Anticipation: f. Anticipation, preuention, forestallment; also, the naturall knowledge one hath of a thing before he see, or heare, it. Lettres d'anticipation; The Kings letters, or Commission, mentioned in Appel anticipé. Anticipé: m. ée: f. Anticipated, preuented, forestalled; taken, or gotten before. Appel anticipé. Th' Appealent preuented; and vrged by the Kings letters, or a speciall Commission (procured by th' Appealee) to shew cause for his appealing sooner then otherwise he would, or should, haue done. Partie anticipée. The same.

Anticiper. To anticipate, preuent, forestall; take, or get before. Anticiper les quatorzaines des criées. A Sergeant to make Proclamation before the day appointed for it.
