Lettres de represailles. Letters (Patents) of Mart, or Marque; letters authorizing reprisalls; or permitting a priuate man that hath beene wronged by forrainers to right himselfe on them, or theirs as he can.
Representation: f. Reprin: m. Branne; or the coursest of meale.
Reprins: m. inse: f. Resumed, recouered, taken backe or againe; also, reprehended, reproued, rebuked, checked, blamed; also, closed, ioyned, knit or set together, againe; also, taken or held; also, returned vnto after a pawse, or breath-taking.
Reprinse: f. Orpine, Liblong, or Liue-long, an hearbe; also, a resumption, repetition, reiteration; a taking backe, a bringing, or comming, in againe; also, a closing, ioyning, or knitting together of disioynted things; also, a holding, taking, or thriuing of transplanted plants, and the fruit or increase yeelded by any seed or plant; also, a new homage done vpon the change of Lord, or Tenant; also, a turne in the dauncing of a Measure, &c. Reprocher. To reproach; disgrace, blemish, taint; obiect or impute vnto, charge or vpbraid with, lay in ones dish, cast in his teeth, a fault or error committed.

Requerir. Diligently to seeke, search, looke for, hunt after; also, to request, intreat, beseech, implore, importune, earnestly to require, pray, or sue vnto. Qui plaisir fait plaisir requiert: Prov. He that does a pleasure lookes to be pleasured; one benefit expecteth another.

Requeste: f. A request, petition, supplication (in writing; Looke Placet;) a desire, demaund, suit, intreatie, prayer, beseeching, inuocation, implorement; also, a search for, an inquirie after; and in hunting, a seeke or hooke, againe.

Requeste civile. A Reuiew, Repeale, or Arrest of Judgement, graunted by Letters Patents vpon suggestion, in the Chauncerie, that the Judges haue beene deceiued by false allegations, forged euidences, periured witnesses; or otherwise abused by the cunning, and shifts of the aduerse partie.
