Many of these verbs have a tendency to omit the syllable nu, not only, as in Russian, in past part. act. II, but also in past part, passive2. Thus, strhly se opet různice, disputes again broke out. This seems especially the case with verbs which have a consonant before the nu. Many verbs are found in this conjugation in Bohemian which belong to the first in the other Slavonic languages.
