Bound in pictorial wrappers in colour with a globe in the center, the American flag in the upper left-hand corner, and a ship in the lower left-hand corner. 106 numbered pages, 8½×10¾. There is also another edition bound in brown cloth with the same pictorial wrapper pasted on the cover. This is a travel book and is illustrated with drawings in black and white by Arthur Rackham, mostly done from photographs. This is the first book that Mr. Rackham illustrated; all his previous work had appeared in magazines and other periodicals. The wrapper edition was published in March, 1893, and sold for one shilling; the cloth edition was published at the same time, and sold for two shillings.
