Afteꝛ the opynyon of many Oſtregieꝛs: and ye fede yowre hawke contynually with Poꝛke. with Iayes. with Pyes. Oꝛ eſpecially bere hiꝛ moch in Rayeny wedeꝛ. thay ſhall be lowſe.

Oſtregeris. Speruiteris. Faukeneris.

Now be cauſe I ſpeke of Oſtregeris: ye ſhall vndeꝛſtonde that thay be calde Oſtregeris that kepe Goſhawkys. oꝛ Teꝛcellis. and tho that kepe Speꝛhawkys and muſkettys ben called Speꝛuiteris. and keperis of all otheꝛ hawkys ben callidde Faukeneris.

Hawkys haue aboute theꝛ legges Geſſe made of ledeꝛ moſt commynly. ſom of ſilke. wich ſhulde be no lengeꝛ bot that the knottis of theym ſhulde appere in myddys of the lefte honde: betwene the longe fyngre and the leche fyngre. be cauſe the lewnes ſhulde be faſtened to theym. with a payre of tyrettis. wich tyrettis ſhuld reſt vppon the lewnes. and not vppon the geſſes. foꝛ hyngyng and faſtynyng vppon trees when ſhe flyeth. and tho ſaame lewnes. yow ſhall faſtyn than abowte yowre lyttyll fyngre ſlackely. in compayſyng the ſaame in .iiij. oꝛ .v.
