By resolution of shareholders on 11th August, 1882, the share capital of the compny was convrerted into stock, as from 1st September, 1882.

The line was opened for public traffic on 1st November, 1882.

A farther increase of capital was authorised under the powers conferred upon the company by the Bala and Festiniog Railway (Additional Capital) Certificate, 1884, of 50,000l., and 16,600 l. on loan.

Festiniog and Blaenau. — This company became merged in the Bala and Festiniog, under the authority of the Great Western Act, 1880, on 13th April, 1883. Length, 3½ miles.

Capital.—The ordinary stock received amounts to 238,000l. and the preference stock to 50,000l. Debenture stock issued, 96,900 l., carrying interest at 4 per cent. per anum.

Revenue.—For the half-year ended 30th June, 1904, the directors announced the full dividend on the 5 per cent, preference stock, and 2¾ per cent, per annum on the ordinary stock, carrying forward 1,442l.

Incorporated by act of 22nd July, 1878. for the construction and maintenance of a railway from Ballymoney to Ballycastle, in the county of Antrim, Ireland. Length: 16¼ miles. Gauge, 3 feet. All opened October, 1880. The Belfast and Southern Counties (now Midland) subscribed 18,000l. towards the cost of the undertaking. and appointed two directors. Capital, 90,000l. in 10l. shares; borrowing powers, 45,000l.

Capital.—The receipts on this account to 30th June, 1904, amounted to 99,726l.; (illegible text) 51,664l. (30l. in cancelled shares) in ordinary 10l. shares, 9,027l. in baronial garauntee shares, 10,836l. in miscellaneous receipts, and 28,199 l. in debenture stock at. 4 per cent. The expenditure to the same date amounted to 103,997l.

Revnue — For the half-year ended 30th June, 1904, no dividend was paid on as ordinary shares, but 1,258l. was carried forward. Reserve fund, 2,500l.

No of Directors.—Maximum, 6; minimum, 3; quorum, 3 and 2. Quailification 25 shares. Northern Counties Committee of Midland Railway appoint two additional, and Antrim County Council one additional.

Quorum of meetings—Seven shareholders holding in the aggregate not less than 5000l. in the capital of the company.
