Robert Sutton,—patent, 4 Nov.1373(47.)—Pleasure.—Fee, £20.—48 Edw. III. Rot. Cl. f. R. 1 and 2.—And by Letters dated at Dunboyne, 21 March in this year, the King wrote,—"Although lately, by the advice of our Council in Ireland, we granted, by patent, to Robert de Sutton, the office of Chief Clerk of the Chancery, with the yearly fee of £20, as other clerks had before usually received in the said office, yet at the time of the said grant, it was the intention of us and our council that the said fee of £20 should be equally divided betwixt him and Thomas de Everdon,
