Publication Note.

Heretofore, the Chronological Table has normally been published in conjunction with the Index and the two works have been interdependent, the Chronological Table indicating, by means of cross-references against each existing Act, the title or titles in the Index under which that Act could be found. In view of the difference in functions between the two works, contemporaneous publication is not, however, essential and since the Table, by reason of its less complex form, can be ready for publication much earlier in each year than the Index, it has been decided that the Chronological Table should not be tied the publication date for the Index. The two works will therefore be published separately in future and for this reason the cross-references to the titles in the Index which hitherto have appeared in the Chronological Table against existing Acts have been transferred to the chronological list at the beginning of the Index and are no longer included in the Chronological Table.
