First line. 1 Placed by Brewer under 9 October, but it must be before 1 September (when Adrian was crowned), since it is dated not ' pontif. nri.', but ' suscepti a nobis offitii apostolatus '. A comparison with 285 suggests that the latter is the earlier, but this is not certain. 2 Added at the top, in the margin, perhaps but not certainly in the same hand as the text. 3 So Brewer.
