He was deprived in Juno 1559, on the 24th of which month the fc;piritualities were seized into the hands of the dean and chapter of Canter- bury*^^. He died 18th Nov. in that year, at Isling- ton, and was buried in the churcli of St. Dunstan, London'^. On the deprivation of Ralph Rayne, a conge d'elire issued 27th Dec. 1559 ^7> and
1560 Thomas Rentham, A.M., was elected 15th Jan.
2 Eliz. 155960^, and obtained the royal assent 20th Feb. following-'. Ho was confirmed 23rd March, and con- secrated the next day -'^'. The temporalities were re- stored to him 6th July'". Ho died at Eccleshall in Staffordshire 21st Feb. 1578-9, and was buried in the chancel of the church there.
1580 William Oveiiton-, S.T.P., was elected loth Sept.
22 Eliz. 1,580, confirmed on the i6th, consecrated on the iSth of that month '>-, and installed uth Nov.^J He died in the beginning of April 1609^^, and was bu- ried at Eccleshall.
