Upon a report of his death, the bishop of Lincoln bestowed this office 23rd April 1399 on Richard Maudeleyn, LL.I3. ; and William Foriby was appointed by the King 1st April 1398-: but Bowet was restored, and received the profits that ac- crued during his absence f)0 . In 1401 he was made bishop of Hath and Wells 91 .

Sept. 1458. He died about Jan. or March 1463-4. John Chedworth, archdeacon of Northampton, was collated 27th April 1464 '. He died in 147 1 .
