The archdeaconry of Bucks was detached from the diocese of Lincoln, and annexed to that of Oxford, by order in council, 19th July 1837, and a canonry of Christchurch was annexed to this archdeaconry by another order dated 18th March 1846; and the venerable Justly Hill still holds the archdeaconry.

This dignity is rated for first fruits at 87Z. 14s. jd. 3
