July 29 July 29, 1905, Saw Say Phoebe Sayornis saya, Heard a robin Turdus migratorius at 11:30 last night.

July 31 July 31, 1905, heard siskin Carduelis pinus at noon at Court House. Have seen none for a week. Expense University Florissant Florissant, Colorado trip, 2 tickets to Denver Denver, Colorado Dr. Ramaley and I ----$2.00. Saw a kingbird Tyrannus and robin Turdus migratorius on way to depot. Left Boulder Boulder, Colorado with Dr. Ramaley at 5:15 p.m., reached Denver Denver, Colorado about on time. Stayed at Oxford Hotel Oxford Hotel (Denver, Colorado) to be near depot in the morning. Went to City Park City Park, Denver and heard band and saw moving pictures including “Stage Robbery” which, to say the least, was not an elevating spectacle, nor helpful to venturesome boys, apt to be carried away with the wildness of such a life.
