Aylsworth, William Prince, clergyman, theologian, college president, was bom Dec. 12, 1844, in Cuba, 111. He attended the Chicago university and Bethany college, receiving the degrees of B.A. and M.A. from the latter institution; and received the degree of LL.D. from Cotner university. He has held pastorates in South Bend, Union City, Angola and Fort Wayne, Ind.; and in Columbus, Ohio. He was president of Fairfield college and is now president of Cotner university of Lincoln, Neb.
Aylward, James F., lawyer, legislator, statesman, was born Aug. 4, 1862, in Cambridge, Mass. In 1884 he graduated from the Boston college with the degrees of A.!^. and A.M.; and in 1887 graduated from the Harvard law school. He is a noted lawyer of Cambridge and Boston, Mass.; was councilman for one year; in 1896-1902 was alderman; and was made president of the board in 1902. In 1903-04 he was a representative in the Massachusetts state legislature. He has been the democratic candidate for state senator; in 1907 was a candidate for mayor of his city; and in 1908 candidate for secretary of state. He was a delegate to the democratic national convention of 1908.
