Day of September one thoufand feven hundred and one; and all the A-lonies which after Satisfaftion of fuch Monies and Bills as are therein mentioned, fhould arife by the Duties upon Houfes formerly granted for feven Years, from the five and twentieth Day of March one thoufand fix hundred ninety- fix; and all the Monies which after Satisfaftion of the Sums therein mentioned, and the Intereft there- of, fhould arife or be brought into the Exchequer, of and for the Duties upon Salt, which were granted to his faid late Majefty King William the Third, his Heirs and Succeflors, by an Aft of Parliament 7W. 3. c. 51. which palTed in the feventh Year of his Reign (together with the Duties upon Ghfs Wares, Stone and Earthen Wares, and Tobacco Pipes, which are iince taken away by Afts of Parliament) fhould be the General Fund for making good the particular Funds in the faid Aft of the eighth Year of his faid 8 W. 3. c. 20, late Majefty's Reign, exprefled and computed to be deficient, and fhould be appropriated, ilTued and applied, for and towards the making good of the fame deficient Funds, by the Payment and Satisfac- tion of the Principal and Intereft, due and to grow due thereupon, in fuch Manner and Form as in the faid Aft of the eighth Year of his faid late Majefty's Reign, is more fully expreffed : And whereas by the abovefaid Aft of the ninth Year of his faid late Majeft^y's Reign, for laying the fiid Duties upon 9 W. 3; c. 4.5* Whale Fins, and Scotch Linens for eight Years, from the tenth Day of July one thoufand fix hundred ninety-eight, the fame are direfted to be applied to and for the Payment and Satisfaftion of fuch Prin- cipal and Intereft A-Ionies, whereunto the faid Duties upon Glafs Wares, Stone and Earthen Wares, and Tobacco Pipes (fince wholly taken away) ought to have been applied, as by the faid feveral Afts of Parliament, Relation being thereunto refpeftiveiy had, may more fully appear :' Now to the End the above-mentioned Deficiencies, for which no Provifion hath hitherto been made, and which in this Aft are computed to amount to two millions three hundred thirty-eight thoufand fix himdred twenty- eight Pounds, fifteen Shillings, and five Pence three Farthings as aforefaid, for principal Monies (befides Intereft) may be made good, and that all fuch principal Monies, and the Intereft thereof, may be well and fufficiently fecured, and duly paid and fatisfied.
