And be it further enafted by the Authority aforefaid, That the additional and other Rates, Duties, Impofitions, and Charges upon the feveral Sorts of Goods and Merchandizes, granted by an Aft of Par- liament made in the fourth if ear of their faid late Majefties Reign, intituled. Mtjjejiies certain additional Impofitions upon feveral Goods and Merchandi-z.es, for profecufing the prefent Wair, ogainjf France, which by feveral fubfequent Afts of Parliament already made, have Continuance until the faid hrft Day oi Auguji one thoufand feven hundred and fourteen, {hall, by Virtue of this Aft, be further continued, and be paid and payable to her Majefty, her Heirs and Succeflbrs, throughout Great Britain, from the laft Day oi July one thoufand feven hundred and fourteen to the firft Day oi Augufl one thou- fand feven hundred and fixteen, and no longer; and that the faid Aft laft mentioned, and all Powers; Provifions, Penalties, Articles, and Claufes therein contained (except as herein after is excepted and provided) as for and concerning the faid Rates, Duties and Impofitions, ftiall continue and be of full Force and Efi^ieft until the faid firft Day of Auguji one thoufand feven hundred and fixteen, and fliall be applied, praftifed, and executed, for the raifing, levying, collefting, anfwering, and paying the faid Duties hereby continued, and all Arrears thereof, according to the Tenor and Intent of this prefent h.^; as if the faid laft mentioned Aft, and all and every the Claufes, Matters, and Things therein contained, had been again repeated and particularly enafted in this prefent Aft : Provided alfo. That in all Cafes where any other Provifion or Alteration is made by any Aft or Afts of Parliament now in Being, in or about any other Matter or Thing contained in the faid Aft of Parliament for the Impofitions laft menti- oned, fuch other Provifions or Alterations (hall be obferved, during the Continuance of the Terni, hereby granted ; any thing herein contained to the contrary notwithftanding. _ ', • - ',' VI. And it is hereby further enafted. That the feveral Impofitions and Duties, for and upon all Whale Fins imported, which by an Aft of Parliament in the ninth Year of the Reign of his faid late Ma^ jefty King William the Third, intituled. An A£i far taking away half the Duties impofed on Glafs Wares, and the whole Duties lately laid on Stone and Earthen Wares, and Tobacco Pipes, and for granting in lieu thereof new Duties on Whale Fins and Scotch Linnen, were granted to his faid late Majefty King William, and by ^ fubfequent Afts already paffed, have Continuance until the firft Day of ^«^2^ one thoufand feven hun- c. 13. and made dred and fourteen, fliall be, and are hereby continued and payable to her Majefty, her Heirs and Succef- perpetual by fors, upon all Whale Fins to be imported into Great Britain, from the laft Day of July one thoufand fe- ? ^""^^- *■• ven hundred and fourteen, to the firft Day of Auguji one thoufand feven hundred and fixteen, and no longer; and fhall be raifed, levied, collefted, and paid in fuch Manner and Form, and byrfuch Wayij and Means, and under fuch Penalties, as are mentioned in the faid Aft for granting the faid Impofitions on Whale Fins and Scotch Linen ; which Aft, with all the Powers, Provifoes, Penalties, Articles, and Claufes therein contained, or thereby referred to, fliall continue and be in full Force until the faid firft , Day of Auguji one thoufand feven hundred and fixteen, and fhall be applied, praftifed, and put in Exe^ cution for raifing and levying the faid Duties on Whale Fins hereby continued, and all Arrears thereof,- as fully and efreftually as if all the Claufes, Matters, and Things therein contained concerning the faid Duties on Whale Fins were repeated, and again enafted in the Body of this prefent Aft. ' VII. And whereas the faid Impofitions on Wines, Vinegar, and Tobacco, which were firft granted to King James thi Second, in the firft Year of his Reign, and the faid Impofitions on Eafi India Goods, and other Goods charged therewith, which were firft granted to their late Majefties King William and Queen Mary in the fecond Year of their Reign, and the faid additional Impofitions whjch were firfl grunted to them in the fourth Year of their Reign, and tiie faid Dnties on Whale Fins imported, which were granted to his faid bte Majefty King'WiLLiAM in the ninth Year of his Reign, were by feveral fubfequent Afts of Parliament continued (with fome Exceptions and Alterations) as afopefaid, until the faid firft Day of Augiji one thoufand feven hundred and fourteen, in t!ie Manner therein men- tioned, and are thereby made lubjeft and liable (together with fuch other Duties as are therein expref- fed) to the Satisfaftipn of feveral principal Sums which were borrowed, or authorized to be borrowed upon thofe Afts refpeftively, and the intereft due, and to be due for the fame, which Principal and In- tereft are to be duly paid off ^nd difcharged in the firft Place j' Now it is hereby further declared and - ;. , . ■ enafted Duties on Whale Fins continued to Aug. 1716. 9 & 10 W. 3. c. 45.
