Moft Gracious Sovereign, WHEREAS by an Aft made in th'e firft Year of the Reign of her late Majefty Queen Anne, , Ann*, flat, t, for preferving the Inheritance of feveral Revenues of the Crown, intituled, An Ail for the better c. 7. ' Support of Her Majeffs Houjhold, and of the Honour and Dignity of the Crown, all Grants thereof, t other than fuch as are therein expreffed, are declared to be void ; and by another Aft made in ' the ninth Year of Her faid late Majefty's Reign, intituled, An Ac! for efiabiijhing a General Pofl Of- 9 Annae > c ' ,0 - ' fee for all Her Majejlfs Dominions, and for fettling a weekly Sum out of the Revenues thereof for the

moft dutiful and loyal Subjefts, the Commons of Great Britain in Parliament affembled, do moft humbly befeech Your Majefty that it may be enafted ; and be it enafted by the King's moft Ex- cellent Majefty, by and with the Advice and Confent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this prefent Parliament affembled, and by the Authority of the fame, That it fhall and His Majefty may be lawful to and for the King's moft Excellent Majefty, by any Letters Patent or Indenture, m *y S 1 ' 3 ™; b y or by feveral Letters Patent or Indentures under the Great Seal of Great Britain, hereafter to be 5; e 000 r i. per ' made, to give and grant to her faid Royal Highnefs the Princefs Royal, or to fuch other Perfon Ann. to the or Perfons, as His Majefty fhall think fit to be named in fuch Letters Patent, Indenture or Indentures, Princefs Royal, and his or their Heirs, to the Ufe and in Truft for her faid Royal Highnefs, one Annuity or yearly , Rent or Sum of five thoufand Pounds of lawful Money of Great Britain ; which faid Annuity or yearly Rent or Sum of five thoufand Pounds, and every Part thereof, fhall commence and take ef- feft from Lady-Day one thoufand ftven hundred and thirty-four, and continue from thenceforth for to commence and during the natural Life of her faid Royal Highnefs, in cafe fhe fhall furvive His Majefty, and fr° m Lad >' . fhall be paid and payable at the Four moft ufual Feafts or Days of Payment in the Year; that b^paya^ftquar- is to fay, the Feaft of the Nativity of Saint John the Baptift, Saint Michael the Archangel, the Birth teriy, of our Lord Chrift, and the Annunciation or the BlefTed Virgin Mary, by even and equal Portions; the firft Payment thereof to be made at the Feaft of the Nativity of Saint John the Baptift, one thou- fand feven hundred and thirty-four ; and that the faid Annuity, or yearly Sum of five thoufand Pounds, out of fuch ■.fhall or may, by fuch Letters Patent, Indentme or Indentures, be directed to be iffuing and payable Duties fettled out of, and charged and chargeable upon, all and every the Duties, Revenues, and Payments fettled and a"fl/ a S ii r fu a ofift y ' appointed by an Aft of the firft Year of His Majefty's Reign, for the better Support of His Majejlfs after his Demife, Houjhold, and the Honour and Dignity of the Crown, or any of them that fhall be fubfifting after His 1 Anna;, ftat. 1. Majefty's Demife, in fuch Parts, Shares, or Proportions, as his Majefty in his great Wifdom fhall think c- ?- fit to direct or appoint the fame. II. And it is hereby further enafted, That the faid Annuity, or yearly Sum of five thoufand Pounds, to be paid at fhall be paid and payable at the Receipt of the Exchequer, or by and from the immediate Hands of all the Receipt of and every the Commiffioners, Farmers, Treafurers or Receivers for the Time being of the faid Revenues ^ E^n e q uer » refpeftively, upon which the faid Annuity or yearly Sum of five thoufand Pounds, or any Part or Parrs thereof, (hall be charged, without any Fees or Charges to be demanded or taken for paying the fame, or any Part thereof; and the Acquittance or Acquittances of her Royal Highnefs, notwithftanding her he^R^auSh^ Coverture, or her Truftees, fhall be a good and fufficient Difcharge for the Payment thereof, without n =fs a fufficient any further or other Warrant to be fued for, had or obtained in that Behalf; and 'that the faid An- Difcharge, not- nuity or yearly Sum of five thoufand Pounds, and every Part thereof, fhall be free and clear from all he^covemfre. Taxes, Impofitions and other publick Charges whatfoever; and that if the Officers of the Receipt ofon Neglect of his Majefty's Exchequer, or the faid CommitTioners, Farmers, Treafurers or Receivers for the Time Payment, her being of any of the faid Duties or Revenues, upon which the faid Annuity or yearly Sum of five thoufand m ayhing S an erS Pounds, or any Part or Parts thereof, fhall be charged as aforefaid, fhall refufe or negleft to pay the faid Aftion againft Vol. VI.
