An Act to continue an Act. paffed in the Third Year of his prefent Majefty's Reign, inti- tuled, An A51 for granting Liberty to carry Rice from his Majefty's Province of Carolina in Ame- rica, direclly to any Part of Europe Southward of Cape Finifterre, in Ship built in and belong- ing to Great Britain, and navigated according to haw ; and to extend that Liberty to his Ma- jefty's Province of Georgia in America. HE RE AS an Aft paffed in the third Year of the Reign of his prefent Majefty, intituled, An Ail for granting Liberty to carry Rice from his Majefty's Province of Carolina in America,

' tain, and navigated according to Law, which was to be in Force for five Years, from the nine and ' twentieth Day of September one thoufand feven hundred and thirty, and from thence to the End of the ' then next Seflion of Parliament, and has been found ufeful and beneficial, and therefore fit to be con- ' tinued ;' Be it enafted by the King's moft Excellent Majefty, by and with the Advice and Confent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this prefent Parliament affembled, and by the Au- thority of the fame, That the faid Aft fhall be and is hereby further continued from the Expiration thereof until the twenty-ninth Day of September, which fhall be in the Year of our Lord one thoufand feven hundred and forty-two, and from thence to the End of the then next Seflion of Parliament. ' II. And whereas fince the pafling the faid Aft his- Majefty by his Letters Patent bearing Date the ' ninth Day offline in the fifth Year of his Reign, did, amongft other Things, moft gracioully give and ' grant to the Truftees for eftablifhing the Colony of Georgia in America, and their Succeffors, feven un- ' divided Parts (the whole into eight equal Parts to be divided) of all thofe Lands, Countries, and Ter- ' ritories, lituate, lying and being in that Part of South Carolina in America which lies from the molt ' Northern Stream of a River there commonly called The Savannah, all along the Sea-Coaft to the South- ' ward unto the moft Southern Stream of a certain other great Water or River called The Alatamaha, and ' Weftward from the Heads of the faid Rivers refpeftively in direft Lines to the Suth-Sea, and all that ' Space, Circuit, and Precinft of Land lying within the faid Boundaries, with the Iflands in the Sea ly- ' Big oppofite to the Eaftern Coafts of the faid Lands within twenty Leagues of the fame : And whereas ' his Majefty, by his faid Letters Patent, did make, ereft and create the faid Lands, Countries and Ter- f ritories into one Independent Province, by the Name of Georgia : And whereas Doubts may arife whe- ' ther fince the Separation of the faid Province of Georgia from the faid Province of South Carolina as ' aforefaid, Rice may be exported from the faid Province of Georgia to any Part of Europe Southward of ' Cape Finifterre in the fame Manner as from the faid Province of Carolina : ' For preventing thereof, and for Encouragement of the faid Province of Georgia, be it enafted by the Authority aforefaid, That from
