A& 7 Geo. i. t. 21, otherwife fuffered to make a longer Stay by the Collector, or other principal Officer in his Abfence, of fuch Port where fuch Ship or Veffel (hould be, not exceeding twenty Days ; then and in either of the faid Cafes all the Goods lb on board fuch Ship or Veffel (hould and might by any Officer or Officers of the Cultoms, by Direction of the Collector or other principal Officer as aforefaid, be taken out of and from fuch Ship or Veffel, and forthwith brought on Shore and fecured, and in cafe the faid Goods were cuftomable, the Cultoms and other Duties (hould be paid for the fame ; and as concerning Wooll or any prohibited Goods, or other Goods liable to Forfeiture, which might be found on board fuch Ships or Veffels at the Time of their unlading as aforefaid, the fame are thereby declared to be fubjeit to Forfeiture, and the Officers of the Cuftoms (hould and might profecute the fame, as alfo the Ship or Veffel, in cafe (he (hould be liable to Condemnation : And whereas there appears to be a Miftake in the faid recited Claufe in the Act aforefaid, by the Word [nor] being inferted in the Record thereof, be- tween the Word [flail] and the Word [land] contrary to the Meaning and Intention of the faid Act ;' Now for remedying the faid Miftake, be it enacted and declared by the King's mod Excellent Majefty, by and with the Advice and Confent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this pre- sent Parliament affembled, and by the Authority of the fame, That from and after the palling this Act, the herein before-mentioned Bonds to be entred into by the Mafters of Ships or Veffels, or the Perfons having or taking Charge or Command thereof, according to the Direction and Provifion before recited of the faid Act, (hall be with Condition, That fuch Ship or Veffel, as foon as Wind and Weather and the Condition of fuch Ship or Veffel will permit, (hall and will proceed regularly on fuch Voyage, and (hall land fuch Goods (except Wooll lawfully licenfed) in and at fome foreign Port or Ports ; and if fuch Ma- iler or other Perfon having or taking the Charge or Command of fuch Ship or Veffel (hall upon fuch Demand refufe to enter into fuch Bond, or having entred into fuch Bond (hall not depart or proceed re- gularly on fuch Voyage, as foon as Wind and Weather and the State and Condition of fuch Ship or Veffel (hall permit, unlefs otherwife fuffered to make a longer Stay by the Collector, or other principal Officer in his Abfence, of fuch Port where fuch Ship or Veffel (hall be, not exceeding twenty Days ; then and in either of the faid Cafes all the Goods fo on board fuch Ship or Veffel, (hall and may by any Officer or Officers of the Cuftoms, by Direction of the Collector or other principal Officer as aforefaid, be taken out of and from fuch Ship or Veffel, and forthwith brought on Shore and fecured ; and in cafe the faid Goods are cuftomable, the Cuftoms and other Duties (hall be paid for the fame ; and as concerning. And whereas fome Officers of his Majefty's Cuftoms in the Kingdom of Ireland, and other Per- 1 fons affifting them, may have gone on board, and demanded and taken Security from the Mafters or ' Perfons having the Charge of fuch Ships or Veffels as aforefaid, and have otherwife acted under the ' faid Act, according to the Intention of the faid Act, though not according to the Letter thereof, ' whereby fuch Officers and Perfons may be liable to Profecutions for the fame ;' Therefore to indemnify and fave harmlefs fuch Officers and Perlbns, their Heirs, Executors and Adminiftrators, for talcing fuch Securities and acting as aforefaid ; Be it enacted by the Authority aforefaid, That all fuch Officers and Perlbns as have taken any fuch Securities or acted as aforefaid, their Heirs, Executors and Admini- ftrators, lhall, and each and every of them are hereby refpectively acquitted, indemnified, rejeafed and difcharged of and from all Actions, Profecutions, Penalties, Forfeitures, Outlawries, Convictions and Judgments incurred, obtained, had or to be incurred, obtained or had, on account, or by reafon of the fame. ' III. And whereas by a Claufe in an Act of Parliament made in the feventh Year of the Reign of his ' late Majefty King George the Firft, intituled, An Aft for the further preventing bis Majefty's Subjccls ' from trading to the Eaft Indies under foreign Commiffions, and for encouraging and further fecuring the ' lawful Trade thereto ; and for further regulating the Pilots of Dover, Deal, and the Ifle of Thanet ; ' it is amongft other Things enacted, That from and after the twenty-fourth Day of June one thou- ' fand feven hundred and twenty-one, no Commodity of the Growth, Product or Manufacture of the ' Eaft-Indies, or other the Places in the faid Act before mentioned, (hall be imported or carried into ' the Kingdom of Ireland, the Klands of ferfey, Guernjey, Alderney, Sari or Man, or into any Land, ' Ifland, Plantation, Colony, Territory or Place, to his Majefty, or to the Crown of Great Britain ' belonging, or which (hail hereafter bdong to his. Majefty, his Heirs and Succeffors, in Africa or t America, but fuch only as (hall be bona fide, and without Fraud, loadeti and (hipt in Great Britain, ' in Ships navigated according to the feveral and refpective Laws now in Being, as to the feveral Places ' to which the faid Goods (hall be imported or carried, under the Penalty of forfeiting all fuch Goods ' or the Value thereof, together with the Ship or Veffel in which they (hall be imported, with all her Guns, Tackle, Furniture, Ammunition and Apparel; and fuch Ship and Goods (hall and may be ' feized, and the fame, or the Value thereof,, (hall and may be profecuted in any of his Majefty's
