and any Sum or Sums of Money, not exceeding one hundred thirty- feven thoufand twenty-feven Pounds three Shillings and eleven Pence, for defraying the extraordi- nary Expence of his Majefty's Land Forces on Account of the Rebellion, and for Horfes loft in Flanders and at Sea, incurred Anno one thoufand feven hundred and forty-five, and not provided for by Parliament ; and any Sum or Sums of Money, not exceeding twenty-four thoufand kven hun- dred and one Pounds feven Shillings and fix Pence, upon Account of Half-pay to the reduced Offi- cers of his Majefty's Land Forces and Marines, for the Year one thoufand feven hundred and forty- fix, fubjedl to fuch Rules to be obferved in the Application of the faid Half-pay, as are hereinafter prefcribed concerning the fame ; and any Sum or Sums of Money, not exceeding three thoufand eight hundred and eighty-fix Pounds, for paying of Penfions to the Widows of fuch reduced Offi- cers of his Majefty's Land Forces and Marines, .as died upon the Eftablifhment of Half-pay in Great Britain, and who were married to them before the twenty-fifth Day of December one thoufand feven hundred, and fixteen, for the Year one thoufand feven hundred and forty-fix ; which faid Sum of three thoufand eight hundred eighty-fix Pounds lhall be iffued to fuch Perfon or Perfons as his Majefty (hall, by Warrant or Warrants under his Royal Sign Manual, direct or appoint to receive the fame, to be by him or them paid over to fuch Widows of Half-pay Officers, or their Affigns, according to fuch " Eftabliihments, Lifts or other Directions, and with and fubject to fuch Condi- tions, Qualifications, or other Allowances for the fame, as his Majefty, by fuch and' the like War- rant or Warrants, (hall be gracioufly pleafed to direct and appoint. XXIII. And it is hereby alfo enacted by the Authority aforefaid', That out of all or any the Aids or Supplies aforefaid, there (hall and may be iffued and applied any Sum' or Sums of Money, not exceeding five hundred thoufand Pounds, upon Account, to enable his Majefty effectually to fup- prefs the prefent Rebellion, to carry on the War with Vigour both by Sea and Land, and to make good fuch Treaties as are or (hall be made with his Majefty's Allies, for the Year one thoufand tev&n hundred and forty-fix ; and any Sum or Sums of Money, not exceeding two hundred thoufand Pounds, to make good his Majefty's Engagements with the Kin°j of Sardinia, purfuant to Treaty ; and any Sum or Sums of Moneys not exceeding twenty-four thoufand two hundred ninety -nine Pounds one Shilling arid four Pence,, to make good his Majefty's, Engagements with the Elector of Cologn, purfuant to Treaty ; and any Sum or Sums of Money, not exceeding, eight thaufand fix hun- dred
