XXIII. And it is hereby alfo enacted by the Authority aforefaid', That out of all or any the Aids or Supplies aforefaid, there (hall and may be iffued and applied any Sum' or Sums of Money, not exceeding five hundred thoufand Pounds, upon Account, to enable his Majefty effectually to fup- prefs the prefent Rebellion, to carry on the War with Vigour both by Sea and Land, and to make good fuch Treaties as are or (hall be made with his Majefty's Allies, for the Year one thoufand tev&n hundred and forty-fix ; and any Sum or Sums of Money, not exceeding two hundred thoufand Pounds, to make good his Majefty's Engagements with the Kin°j of Sardinia, purfuant to Treaty ; and any Sum or Sums of Moneys not exceeding twenty-four thoufand two hundred ninety -nine Pounds one Shilling arid four Pence,, to make good his Majefty's, Engagements with the Elector of Cologn, purfuant to Treaty ; and any Sum or Sums of Money, not exceeding, eight thaufand fix hun- dred
