పుటిక-Putika

పీల pila, adj- Thin, slender. 2. Spare, scanty. పీలపంట pilapanta, A scanty crop.

పీలి pili, s. The, rudder of a vessel.

పీలిక pilika, s. A rag, piece, or bit.

పీలికాడు pilikadu, s. A steersman, or pilot.

పీలుచు pilutsu, v. a. To suck up. 2. To inhale, as snuff, smoke, &c.

పీలుపు piluvu, 6*. An elephant.

పీల్చు piltsu, v. a. vide పీలుచు pflutsu.

పుంజము pundzamu,| s. A poonjam. or certain number of threads.

పుంజి punji, 6-. Crops cultivated without artificial irrigation, commonly termed the dry crop.

పుండు pundu, s. Making in the inflex. Sing. పుంటి punti, And in the nom. plu. పుండ్లు pundlu, An nicer, bile, or sore, రచపుండు ratsapundu, The large, or rajah, bile or sore, which rises on the back, and affects the spine, so as to be deemed mortal by the Hindoos. పుండుచేయు punducheyu, To raise a blister.

పుచ్చుకొను, పుచ్చికొను putstsukonu, puchchikonu, v. a. To take. 2. To receive. 3. To take, or eat, food.

పుచ్చె ptichche, s. The young unripe fruit of the palmyra, cocoanut, or other palmtree. 2. The skull.

పుచ్ఛము puchchhamu, s. A tail ; the tail, the hinder part.

పుట puta, s. The leaf of a book.

పుటమరించు pntamarintsu, v. n. To rise, or swell up, as a sore-

పుటము putamu, s, A folding, or doubling, of any thing, so as to form a cup, or concavity. 2. The eyelash. 3- The purifying, or calcining, metals by fire. 4. The burying of medicine in the earth, &c, in order to improve it's quality.

పుటాక్షరము putaksharamu, s. An abbreviated letter.

పుటిక, పుట్టిక putika, puttika, 5. A small basket.
