పుణ్యవం-Punyavan

పుట్ట putta, 5. An ant hill. 2. A snake's hole.

పుట్టము puttamu, s. Cloth.

పుట్టి ptitti, s. A certain measure of capacity, termed candy, or poot- tee, which is divided into twenty smaller measures, called తూములు tumulu, 2. A round, or circular, basket boat, covered with leather.

పుట్టు pnttu, v. n To be born, or produced. 2. To arise, issue, or spring from. 3. To get, or obtain. & Birth. పుట్టుక, పుట్టువు puttuka, puttuvU; 5. Birth, production, origin.

పుట్టుచెయువు puttucheyuvu, s. The Hindoo ceremony performed at a birth. పుట్టుమచ్చ puttumatstsa, s. A natural mole, or mark, from one's birth. పుట్టుబడి puttubadi, s. Produce. పుట్టించు puttintsu, v. Cans. To create, generate, form, or raise.

పుడకలు pudakalu, s.plu. Small sticks; fuel.

పుడమి pudami, s. The earth. పుడమిదాలుపు pudamidalupu, Sesha, the king of snakes, and bed of Vishnu ; because he supports the earth. పుడమిపట్టి pudamipatti, The planet Mars, the son of the earth.

పుడమిమొలనూలు podamimolanulu,£z7. The waistband of the earth. The sea.

పుడిసిలి pudisili, s. Making in the inflex. Sing. పుడిసిటి pudisiti, The palm of the hand, held in such a manner as to contain any thing placed in it. పుడిసెడు pudisedu, A handful.

పుడుకు puduku, v. a- To give. s. Giving. పుడుకుదొడుకు pudukudoduku, Tbe celestial cow, which gives all that is desired.

పుణకరించు punakarintsu, v, a. To give an insufficiency, v. n. The fingers to be convulsed in the extremities of death. పుణకరింతలు, పుణికిరింతలు punakarintalu, punikirintalu, s. plu. The giving an insufficiency. 2. The convulsion of the fingers, in death.

పుణుకు punuku, v. a. To spread oat the fingers of the hand, and then draw them in again, as in taking up a handful of any thing. 2. To touch, to feel. 3. To give an insufficiency.

పుణ్యము punyamu, s. Virtue, moral or religious excellence, or merit. 2. A good action. 3. Purity, purification, adj. Virtuous, good, pure, righteous, excellent. 2. Beautiful, pleasing.

పుణ్యవంతము punyavantamu, adj. Fortunate, well fated; virtuous, pious, righteous.
