Every person shall respect human rights of others in the order of life of the society, nation, and state.
In exercising their rights and freedoms, every person shall be subject to any restrictions established by law solely for the purpose of ensuring the recognition and respect for the rights and freedoms of others and of meeting the just requirements of morality, religious values, security, and public order in a democratic society.
CHAPTER XI RELIGION
Article 29
The state is based upon the belief in the One and Only God.
The state guarantees the freedom of religion for each citizen and to practice such religion and belief accordingly.
CHAPTER XII STATE DEFENSE AND SECURITY
Article 30
Every citizen has the right and duty to participate in the defense and security of the state.
The defense and security of the state is conducted through the total people's defense and security system, with the Indonesian National Military and the Indonesian National Police as the main force, and the people as the supporting force.
The Indonesian National Military, consisting of the Army, Navy and Air Force, as an instrument of the state has the duty to defend, protect, and maintain the integrity and sovereignty of the state.
The Indonesian National Police, as an instrument of the state that safeguards public order and security, has the duty to protect, guard, serve the people, and to enforce the law.
