She d. (v.p.) 1 July 1768 and was bur. at Barnwell afsd. He m. secondly, 25 April 1772, at Hackwood, Hants, Mary, 1st da. and eoheir( il ) of Harry (1'oWLETT!, 6th and last Dukf. OF Bolton, by his 'first wife Henrietta, da. of (— ) Nl'NN. She, who was 4. Oct. 1753, d. 30 March 1779, and was bur. at Barnwell. He d. 6 June 1811, aged 71, in Upper Wiuipole street.() Will pr. 181-1. He d. s.p. and v.p., a few months later, 29 Nov. 1790, aged 23, at his mother in law's house in Grosveuor square, and was bur. at Barnwell. His widow living 1793]. VI. 1814. G. George (Montagu), Earl of Sandwich, &c,, 2d and yst. s., being only s. of the second wife ; b. 4 Feb. and bap. 5 March 1773, at St. Marylebone ; styled Viscount Hinchinbrokk, 1790-1814 ; ed. at Eton, aud at Triii. Coll., Cambridge ; M.A , 2 July 1792 ; M.P. for co. Huntingdon, 1794-1814 ; Lieut.-Col., Huntingdonshire Militia, kc. ; sue. to the peerage, as above, 6 June 1811. He m. 9 July 1804 (spec, lie.) at the house of Baronets Howe, in Upper Brook street, St. Geo. Han. «q., Mary Anne Julia Louisa Harriet, da. of Armar (Corky), 1st Earl of I '.■'■!' i i (I.], by Ids second (and afterwards divorced) wife, Harriet, da. aud coheir of John (Houart), 2d Earl of Buckinghamshire. Coll., Cambridge ; sometime (1832) in the Greu. foot guards ; L.-Lieut. of Huntingdon- shire, 1841 ; P.O., 1852; Capt. of the Gent, at arms, Feb. to Dec., 1S52; Col. of Huntingdon Militia, 1852 ; Master of the Buckhouuds, 185S-f9 ; Militia aide-de-camp to Queen Victoria, 1883. He m. firstly, 6 Sep. 1S3S, Mary, da. of Henry William (Paget), 1st Marquess of Anglesey, by his second wife, Charlotte, da. of Charles (Cadooan), 1st Earl Cadoqan. She, who was b. 10 June 1812. d. 20 Feb. 1S59, aged 47, at 26 Curzon street, Mayfair, and was bur. at Barnwell afsd., but removed to Brampton, co. Huntingdon. He m, secondly, 27 Dec. 1865, Blanche, 2d and yst. da. of Francis (Egerton, formerly Lbvfson-Gowkr), 1st Earl of Eli.ksmere, by Harriet Catherine, da. of Charles Ghevillk. He d. 3 March 1SS4, at 46 Grosveuor square in his 73d vear and was bur. at Brampton afsd. Will pr. 22 May 1884, above £338,000. His widow, who was b. 22 Feb. 1832, d. s.p. at 17 Charles street, 20 March 1894, and was bur. at Brampton, VIII. 1884. 8. Edward George Henry (Montagu), Earl of Sandwich, Viscount Hinchinbuokk and Bauon Montaou of Saint Neots, 1st s. and h. by first wife ; b. 13 July 1839 in London ; styled Viscount Hinchinbhoke till 1884 ; ed. at Eton ; sometime (1857-81) an officer in the Greu. foot guards being Major therein, 1881-84, aud Col. in the army, 1831 ; Attache to (■) In right of this M ary, who was coheir to her father, himself a coheir (see p. 16, note " b," sub "Saint John ") of the Barony of Saiut John de Basing, the succeeding Earls of Sandwich are representatives of a fraction of that Barony. ( ) He appears to have been a very extravagant and worthless man. ( c ) She was an able woman, who possessed a large jointure aud who had for many 5'ears u salon in Paris.
