the pain of Rebellion, and putting of them to the Horn, and if they failzie therein at the by-paſſing of every one of the ſaid terms, to denounce the diſobeyers Rebels, and put them to the Horn, and to Eſcheat, &c. And that the Prelats and beneficed Perſons, and ſuch Noblemen and others, in whoſe favours the Erections, and Patronages above-written are paſt, for their relief have Letters as formerly, charging their Vaſſals, Sub-vaſſals, Ladies of Terce, Conjunct-fiars, Life-renters, Proper-wod-ſetters, who are not accountable for the ſuperplus of the Rents, Fewers, Tackſmen and Penſioners, to make payment of their part of the ſaid Taxation, ilk one of them, (pro rata) according to the ſum they ſhall be taxed unto, to the ſaids Prelats, and other beneficed Perſons, and to the ſaid Noblemen and others having power to receive the ſame, within twenty dayes next after the Charge, under the pain of Rebellion, &c. And if they failzie, &c, to denounce, &c. and eſcheat, &c. and to poynd and diſtreinzie therefore, as they ſhould think moſt expedient: Providing alwayes, That the firſt termes payment of the ſaid Taxation be ever paſt, before the next termes payment be charged for. And the Eſtates Declares, That the production of ſufficient Hornings againſt the ſaid Vaſſals, Fewers, Tackſmen and Penſioners, ſhall be a relief to the ſaids Prelats, Lords of Erections and beneficed Perſons; and ſhall exoner them (pro tanto) from payment of the ſaid Taxation; Providing, That the ſame Hornings, with their Taxt Rols authentickly made and ſubſcribed by the ſaid Prelats, Lords of Erections and other beneficed Perſons, and by their Fewers, Vaſſals, Tackſ-men and Penſioners, in manner hereafter preſcribed, containing the particular ſum which each one of them are taxed unto; be delivered to the Collector of the ſame Taxation, within the ſpace of threeſcore dayes after every terme: otherwayes, he ſhall be no wayes oblieged to receive the ſame, neither ſhall the Prelat, Lord of Erection nor beneficed Perſon, be exonered by production of the ſame at any time thereafter.

And further, that the ſaid Prelats, and ſuch Noblemen and others, in whoſe favours the Erections and Patronages above-written are paſt, and all other beneficed perſons, may have their relief of their Vaſſals, Sub-vaſſals, Ladies of Terce, Conjunft-fiars, Life-renters, Fewers, Wodſetters foreſaid, Tackſmen and Penſioners, to the greater eaſe and leſs trouble to the ſaid Vaſſals and others foreſaid: And to the effect, that every one proportionally may pay his part of the ſaid Taxation, according to the quantity and avail of the free Rent which he hath of his Benefice, Lands, Penſions, Kirks, and Teind-ſheaves pertaining to him, as well Prelat, Lord of Erection, Patron and other beneficed Perſons themſelves, as the Fewer, Tackſ-man and Penſioner; It is thought Expedient, Statute and Ordained, That the ſaid Prelats and others above-rehearſed, every one of them ſeverally, ſhall conveen his whole Fewers, Vaſſals, Tackſ-men and Penſioners, at the particular places he hereafter deſignated: They are to ſay, The Archbiſhop of St. Andrews at the City of St. Andrews, the Archbiſhop of Glaſgow at the City of Glaſgow, the Biſhop of Edinburgh at the City of Edinburgh, the Biſhop of Orknay at the Town of Kirkwall, the Biſhop of Caithneſs at the Town of Durnock, the Biſhop of Roſs at the Town of Chanry of Roſs, the Biſhop of Murray at the Town of Elgin, the Biſhop of Aberdeen at the Burgh of Aberdeen, the Biſhop of Brichen at the Burgh of Brichen, the Biſhop of Dunkell at the Town of Dunkell, the Biſhop of Dumblain at the Town of Dumblain, the Biſhop of Galloway, at the Town of Wigtoun, the Biſhop of Argyl at the Town of Innerary, the Biſhop of the Iſles at the Burgh of Rotheſay in Bute, the Abbot of Icolmkill at the Burgh of Rotheſay, the Prior of Ardchatton at the burgh of Rotheſay, the Abbot of Fairn at the Burgh of Tayn, the Lord Beuley at the Burgh of Innerneſs, the Lord of Kinloſs at the Burgh of Forres, the Prior of Pluſcarden at the Burgh of Elgin, the Lord of Dier at the Town of Peterhead, the Prior of Fivy at the Town of Turrif, the Prior of Monymusk at the Town of Monymnsk, the heretable Baily of the Lordſhip of Arbroth at the Burgh of Arbroth, the Lord of Scoon at the Burgh of Perth, the Lord Cowper at the Town of Cowper in Angus, the Prior of Reſtenneth at the Burgh of Forfar, the Collector of this preſent Taxation in place of the Priors of Charterhouſe, the Seat now vacand, at the Burgh of Perth, and the like in other caſes where any Seats are vacand, at the places appointed by this preſent Act; the Prior of Elcho at the Burgh of Perth, the Prior of Straphilland at the Kirk of Comry, the Lord of Inchaffray at the Burgh of Perth, the Prior of Inchmachomo at the Burgh of Sterling, the Baily of the Regality of Dumfermling at the Burgh of Dumfermling, the Lord of Balmerinoch at the Burgh of Cowper in Fife, the Lord Lyndoris at the Burgh of Cowper in Fife, the Maſters of St. Leonards Colledge in St. Andrews for the Priory of Portmock at the Burgh of Cowper in Fife, the Prior of Pettenweym at the Burgh of Pettenweym, the Lord of St. Colmb at the Burgh of Innerkeithing, the Lord of Culroſs at the Burgh of Culroſs, the Abbot of Cambuskenneth at the Burgh of Stirling, the Lord Torphichan at the Burgh of Linlithgow, the Prior of Manwell at the Burgh of Linlithgow, the Lord Newbottle at the City of Edinburgh, the Prioreſs of Haddingtoun at the Burgh of Haddingtoun, the Lord of the Temporal Lands of the Priory of North-berwick at the Burgh of North-berwick, the Patron and Parſon of the Kirk of Kilconchar, diſſolved from the Priory of North-berwick, at the Town of Ely; the Patron and Parſon of the Kirk of Largo, diſſolved from North-berwick, at the Town of Largo; the Patron and Parſon of the Kirk of Mayboll, diſſolved from North-berwick, at the Town of Mayboll; the Patron and Parſon of the Kirk of Logie, diſſolved from North-berwick, at the Burgh of Stirling; the Lord of Kelſo at the Town of Kelſe, the Lord of Coldingham at the Town of Eymouth, the Lord of Dryburgh at the Town of Dryburgh, the Prior of Eccles at the Town of Dunce, the Prior of Coldſtream at the Town of Dunce, the Lord of Jedburgh at the Burgh of Jedburgh, the Lord Melroſe at the Town of Melroſe, the Lord of Paiſlay at the Town of Paiſlay, the Lord Blantyre at the City of Glaſgow, the Lord and Baily of the
