DEAR SIR,

HENCE as we proceeded on our march, we beheld the lifeleſs bodies of theſe nefarious wretches elevated along the way for a conſiderable diſtance, about half a mile from each othe;r and having paſſed through the lofty arches or gateways of Sikilligurree and Tellicgurre planted with cannon, and erected by former Nabobs, as a kind of battery againſt the houſtile invaſions of thoſe Mountaineers, we reached Rajamoul, where we remained a few days.

Our
