At the eaſt end of the town, there is a large ſquare of building, called Serai, encompaſſed by walls, and laid out for the reception of travellers of every deſcription; the better fort of people pay for their accommodation: but the poor are entertained free of expence: this laudable inſtitution is ſupported by the voluntary contributions of the merchants of the city.
