DEAR SIR.

A FEW months after our arrival at Chunargur, Captain Baker, diſcloſed his intentions of going to Europe: having a deſire of ſeeing that part of the world, and convinced that I ſhould ſuffer much uneaſineſs of mind, in the abſence of my beſt friend, I reſigned my commiſſion of Subidar, in order to accompany him.
